I used to work in a clinical analysis laboratory. I left Argentina, ended up in Mexico, and two years ago I started weaving with no plan beyond that: it was therapy, not a business. I taught myself.

There's no workshop full of staff here, and no warehouse with pieces waiting. There's one person, and each piece starts to exist when someone asks for it.

A large piece takes two or three days: woven length by length, adjusted, combed out and adjusted again. That's why no two come out the same, even from the same design.

Working to order has one advantage for you: everything is decided before I start. The size, the palette, the proportion. You don't fit your wall to the piece; the piece is made for your wall.

Natural cotton, jute, stiffened cotton yarn and polyester thread, over wooden structures.

Yume means dream in Japanese. Japanese culture has drawn me in for a long time, and the names of the pieces come from there too.

In homes across 13 countries. Each one was packed by hand and travelled to a wall I've never seen, and I still think that's the best part.
